I've seen a red one around the student union area. Also, this one on Westwood Campus -
A bit less boring :)
-
• #3
^ pretty sure that's the one I saw in Earlsdon in the summer.
-
• #4
Yeah, Si at Albany Cycles reckons the owner lives in Earlsdon (Broadway Road or there abouts) and has been in his shop a few times.
-
• #5
This is owned by a teacher at my school :)
-
• #6
Wow!!! Don't believe I haven't bumped into that beaut yet!
-
• #7
PS: I'd think about investing in a better lock - but I don't know what it's like for bike crime round here... that'd be gone in a second in London!
-
• #8
That lock is the poorest thing ive ever seen, jus hope some one theives that aerospoke its ruining that bike completely!
-
• #9
Yeah that's the one, I think it looks nice with the aerospoke on it!
No foot retention though! -
• #10
There's always one (sometimes two) outside the gym when I go (so then there's three!) ;p
-
• #11
Im djing at the copper rooms on sat if anyone's up for a ride at the uni in the evenin?
-
• #12
Saw a black SS (looked SS, not fixed) yesterday outside University House. Can't remember the frame make, but was possibly a conversion.
-
• #13
Was it some 'France' name? With no foot retention? I've seen it there the last two days
-
• #14
By the way, it's fixed if it's the one I'm thinking of
-
• #15
And yeah, I'd be up for the ride!
-
• #16
Some guy went speeding past me in the opposite direction on the university road on Saturday evening, looked like a fixed gear to me.
There's also another bike outside the gym now, a Mongoose with orange rims?
-
• #17
Mongoose with orange rims is probably a Maurice:
-
• #18
Yeah, that's the one!
-
• #19
I don't really have an opinion on the bike because each to their own and all that but I have to say "Maurice" is a really daft name for a bike.
-
• #20
Now if they'd call it "Morris". That's a proper name.
-
• #21
I think it's named after an early Mongoose BMX from the 80's, or something :)
-
• #22
Just bumped into a guy and I think he was coming from the gym, was following him up the road and then took a shortcut and he crossed my path. Think his bike is usually outside the gym, ha!
-
• #23
Stalker! ;)
-
• #24
Yes, an effective one too!

Spotted someone this evening riding an unbadged black track frame with flat bars being ridden down the wrong way of Far Gosford Street.
Also spotted this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tom-Bromwich-Track-bike-531-Fixed-wheel_W0QQitemZ170445061519QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Bikes_GL?hash=item27af513d8f
There's actually a fair amount of fixies/single-speeds knocking about campus! Nice red number over at the engineering department, there's almost always a grey fixed outside the gym when I go and sometimes there's ANOTHER one there too! A few single-speeds about too, but they're boring! ;p
