well spa to weinze is because the tour finishes in spa and then starts in weinze, so i reckon i'll ride a bit further than that to see the pelo mid-day.
So I'm planning a tour in July to catch some of the Tour de France and then head to Geneva for the European Bike Polo champs.. I'm not sure if i'm going to do it on my present 2-cog single speed (47/61GI), or throw a derailleur on yet. The distances are ample, but not insane..
Brussels, Spa, Weinze, Karlsruhe and Geneva were all chosen for a reason, all other destinations were chosen based on proximity and distance, so if anyone has some better suggestions nearby I'm all ears. Here's what I've come up with so far:
Date Departure Destination Distance
7/2/2010 London Rotterdam 0mi (train)
7/3/2010 Rotterdam Brussels 0mi (train)
7/4/2010 Brussels Brussels 0mi
7/5/2010 Brussels Spa 81mi
7/6/2010 Spa Weinze 36mi
7/7/2010 Weinze Luxembourg 90mi
7/8/2010 Luxembourg Saarbrucken 58mi
7/9/2010 Saarbrucken Karlsruhe 84mi
7/10/2010 Karlsruhe Karlsruhe 0mi
7/11/2010 Karlsruhe Strasbourg 48mi
7/12/2010 Strasbourg Freiburg 48mi
7/13/2010 Freiburg Basel 38mi
7/14/2010 Basel Bern 59mi
7/15/2010 Bern Geneva 93mi
7/16/2010 Geneva EHBPC
Anyone have any routes in this part of the world, or recommendations on bike-friendly accommodation at any of the stopping points? Anyone want to come along for a stretch? Thanks!
