Gumwall tubs are a must for a mid-90s build.

i always presumed they'd look out of place,
i associate gumwalls with the 70's for some reason -

thanks chris, i was looking at rubino pro's but couldn't find them cheaper than £20,
good to know they are knocking around a bit cheaper, may have to search harder. -

Definitely gumwall for a 90's build
Whatever you choose, buy a few sets. Saves time when you puncture. I was pretty lucky and seemed to average about 1 a month on long rides. Also carry a spare or two ready glued (or some spare tape), although the vittoria puncture stuff holds for quite a few days.
Another example :-)

i see what you're saying, they do look good, i'm just not sure it'll look good on my bike:
this is it, it'll have road shamals on it so try to imagine.:

I'm after 2, all black 700c road tubs.
(preferably new, but not really interested in repaired)
willing to spend £40 max, cheaper the better ;)
Thanks!
