Old Cherry keyboards could also be something to look out for. Do you actually want to use it on a current PC/Mac? Might struggle if it's been bought in the last year as the trend has been to get rid of PS2 ports in favour of USB.

Until you locate your own IBM Model M, you can play around with this simulator: http://webwit.nl/input/kbsim/

P.C. or Mac?PC chap, although I use a Mac. Old Mac keyboards had unusual, proprietary adapters. Would be easier to get a PC one and put a PS/2>USB adapter on.
I just want something that will give my long fingers room to stretch. And when I write I can do it in big, thumping dramatic prods.
:)
There would be beer in it for you, of course.

You want the "Das Keyboard". Based on the IBM model M but even clickier. It comes with characters or without.

Does anyone work in IT in a really cluttered office? Have loads of old stuff kicking about? You may be able to help...
I'm after a big, old, heavy keyboard. The type that makes click-clack noises, that I learned to type on, that I can type fast on without thinking about it. Will pay. Help?
