I've got an armadillo elite going spare if you want to do a deal.
I'm not convinced about the gumwalls either - you're welcome to stop over and try L&Ws wheelset to see how it will look.

Oooh I just found white ones (well, white wall and a gummy white tread), Bicycle Workshop on all saints Road. Not a big fan of white tyres but hey, interesting.

Hipster alert!

Ha, yeah, reckon they only sold em in Japan til they realised that white tyres are like strings: every yo-yo wants them.

I like the idea of white walls on my Holdsworth but I'm gonna get some big (32) Gators on there instead... Having so much fun chucking that bike around atm, bigger tyres are probably a good idea... ;]

Jesus, Max... you never cease to amaze me.
.... soon you'll have a basket on the front, brake levers that don't actually do anything, and be moaning about your "sit bones"you are walking down a dangerous path..... we all know what happened to squabble.

Max won't be out of bed for another three hours, we're wasting our breath...

A few years ago, I used to like wearing baggy jeans. Anyway, one of my work colleagues saw me on the weekend and came into the office talking about how I thought I was a homie or something, and walked aroung throwing gang signs and saying "yo".
Like "yo... yo". She then coined the term "yo yo pants" to refer to my jeans. So then she started calling me "yo yo pants"... and then after a month or so, we figured out people thought she was talking about me having yoyo knickers.... up and down all the time.
Did wonders for my career development.

erm I think we have some at cyclesurgery. Well, 1. It's definitely a panaracer but not sure about the exact model. Veeery flimsy looking tyre if you ask me, especially considering the price (£25).
-
• #17
The sidewalls on panaracers are pretty flimsy, I've had quite a few holes appear in them over the years. They are pretty light for a touring tyre, the tread is excellent, and the thin walls make for a comfy ride - an audax tyre. Not suitable for rough riding.
Not a fixyskidder's tyre by any stretch of the imagination.
BTW £25 is way overpriced. They ought to be retailed at about £18-£20.

They will look fucking rubbish on that cannondale.
...which will match the fork, I guess.

I also have other things to trade but we'll get to that.

the only thing he's got left to trade........is his arse
I have only ever heard good things about these, and have been toying with the idea of putting gumwall tyres on my Cannondale for a while, so I think the time has come.
Out of stock on Wiggle and SJS, haven't bothered looking anywhere else as I'd rather not pay full price anyway.
If anyone is up for a trade I've got a Specialized Armadillo Elite and a Vittoria Rubino Pro (both all black, 23c) going spare, although I'm gonna need to use the Armadillo fairly soon as my Randonneur is nearly dead, so I'll amend this post when it's no longer available. Both tyres (Armadillo & Rubino Pro) are used but only on the front so haven't lost any tread from skidding.
Anyway yeah, Panaracer Pasela TourGuard tyres, in 23c, are what I want. I also have other things to trade but we'll get to that.
Thanks for looking.
