Nice,
Got pics with wheels in it?
Also, what sort of tubing is it? can't see the seattube sticker on pics.... looks like tange? -
• #6
Kinda looks like a Dura-Ace sticker which is at odds with the build.

No, I have no pictures with wheels in it I fear.
It is higly unlikely Tange tubing is used. By early 70s there was not much Tange around. No matter what supplier, without any doubt the best tubing available is used for this frame. Don't forget it is a made to order pro level frame. I already mentioned it is light. I can tell the lugs are Cinelli.
No idea why the Shimano sticker is on there. When I got the bike there was no single bit Shimano on it. All Campag, including a 1st generation Super Record rear mech. Bling. There is a little Campag sticker present on top the top tube.

So far there have been no takers for the Remy and there even haven't been interested parties through PM. Possibly this has something to do with the unawareness or not being familiar with Remy. Remy fits in the same tradition of Dutch exotics as do Presto, Zieleman, RIH Bustraan etc. All very small to very very small number made custom thoroughbreds from back in the day. Frames handcrafted by one known builder, not by a crew or staff.
This frame is looking for someone with the willingness to give it back 100% of its glory and pride while preserving the authentity and pureness as much as possible. Someone with tact who knows how to do it.

So what tubing do you think it might be ?
have you had a look down the seat tube to see if it's ribbed or not ?
I quite like this frame myself but I'm the kind of person who really needs that kind of info. -

There is no decal, so I can't see. The best that was available at the time. Near 100% certain 531DB or equivilent Columbus. That is what every Zieleman, RIH or Presto I had in my hands was specced with and this frame is no less. It is a light pro race level frame, so also because of that it can't be something mediocre.
I haven't looked for splines, but these started to appear later in some tube sets.
Tubing is important, but of course do never overlook the competence of the person who puts the frame together. No matter what high end tubing is used, the builder's input is 10x more significant.

Offering Remy Course kit
Early/mid 70s frame by Remy of Ossendrecht, Holland
Handcrafted by masterbuilder with great reputation Marten van der Bergh. It is a fine frame. Construction is light. Even with parts fitted it feels light.
Remys found their way to several well known riders, among them Hennie Kuiper, Jo de Roo and Jan Janssen.
Comes with:
Condition:
It is not a minty frame, hence the attractive pricepoint. The frame is entirely chromed and there is no rust. Structurally 100% sound. I suspect the shifter bosses are brazed on at a later point and that the frame was given a repaint after that. I have seen with a more perfectionist attitude performed paintjobs. You could consider stripping it, polishing the chrome to a deep gloss and have new decals made.
