• Carlton Continental road frame £50 o.n.o

    Seat tube 52 cm c-t-c
    Top tube 56 cm c-t-c
    front 100 mm / rear 120 mm

It's of double butted tubing so weights in at about 2.6 kgs. Nice and stiff, and a relaxed geometry makes for a stable ride. I've read somewhere that these were made of 531 but can't confirm it.

I've seen these frames go on eBay for around 100 quid, but I am asking less since its quite rusty and furthermore has a noticeable dent in the middle if the right seat stay. I've ridden the bike like this for a good 9 months and some bike boffins told me its perfectly fine, but again do your own research.
For newbies looking for their first steel frames there are two things to consider; the front brake drop is about 70 mm so you'd need long reach brakes for this one. It also has a relatively low BB so I'd say its ideally a single speed bike, although I've ridden it fixed myself and found it OK.
I am not including stem, bars, seat etc in the picture above.

The pub bike is a cheap MTB converted to singlespeed. Frame is all chrome and 50 cm or so. It's rideable, so you could pick it up from my place and ride home, but it's overall fairly mangy. You'd only bother with this if you're interested in keeping a spare bike around.

Both are pick up only from Shoreditch, London. I'll check my e-mails early this evening and hopefully we can get it sorted in not too long.

  • dibs frame, pmed

  • Dibs pub bike!

    PM'd.

  • ok, so pub bike is now gone. sorry to all of those others who got in touch, but I very urgently needed to clear up some storage space so first man to my door got it.

as for the carlton frame I've gotten some interest, but again it will ideally go to the first who can make it to my place (and give my cash in hand) so do get in touch.
