i love this place, it's brilliant.

It's great. Early days, but a very welcoming atmosphere, and owners with plenty of London cyclescene history. Not extortionate prices - which is great for poor locals like me - and their vacuum cleaner salesman is a top bloke too.

Wow, that looks awesome!

Phenom. In that case I'm there... this week, one evening. Who's up for tea and cake post-work?
Shall we say Tuesday?

Don't merge anything... this thread is just fine as it is. It's mine, I don't start many threads (though I'm about to as I'm going through my inbox and clearing all the interesting things out of it).
Jacqui, but I have drugstore gig Wednesday. But I bet now you've said a load of girls will be there that other forumengers appear from under their rocks ;)

@ hippy - just so you know, Velocio's put you on global ignore. I can guess what your reply would be anyway as you're so fucking predictable.

Was in there this morning with Tynan, and asked if they'd spoken to various people at the opening e.g.
"Did you speak to Winston, one of the RPLZ head honchos?"
"I'm not sure. There were a few of them here. I spoke to Caspar, and I saw an Eddy Merckx look-a-like." -
• #15
^ lol awesome. Winston = Eddy :)

Unpossible!
Everyone knows that Tynan doesn't really exist.
-
• #17
Tynan does. tynan does too.
-
• #18
tynan's going through quite a difficult phase at the moment.
Tynan systematically disassembled a blueberry muffin in LMNH.

so you ended up with a pile of flour, a knob of marg, sugar, some apple chunks (dyed blue) and air.

• #20
deconstructing the muffin?

That's a great album title.

i had the pleasure of watching the amstel classic in there. Nice friendly people and place to hang out. Great beer selection and amazing cakes not to mention cheese board.
Can't wait for the next excursion there. -
• #23
So I'll be there post-work on Tuesday if anyone else wants to drop by for a bite.
-
• #24
Rough time?
-

I guess 6pm-ish. Might be there a bit earlier, but guaranteed to be there by then.
So I was invited to the launch of this last Thursday, but I didn't want to go yet another launch party in which too many people turn up so you can't actually see the place, chat to the owners or get a feel for things.
So now it's been a few days and others must've made it there... tell me about it.
For me, just reading the description it is what I wanted London to have. San Francisco has a few places like this where you can turn up, drink espresso or beer, eat some thoroughly good bites and whilst someone is tinkering with their bike and sorting out something. In San Fran these places were heaven, perfect oases compared to the mayhem of the streets and trying to get a bike crowd into non-bike friendly places.
Is this place like that? I so want it to be. I'd even cycle the wrong way home if it was.

Anyhow... who here has first hand experience to tell? Is it what I dream?
