Wonderful.
Me, James and Jon will be arriving at 15:10 on friday. Not sure if that is local time.

• #3
Tom, I haven't been contacte about accommodation yet...

DT - Alejandro from Barcelona has found a group booking for a hostel and he's taking care of BAD + Sarah in that booking. Taka should have emailed you with Alejandro's details - I'll chase up if this is not the case.
(Unfortunately we're not a big enough community here yet to house everyone with other polo players.)

We've just had a couple more people here just say that they've got sofa/floor space for people to crash, so BADS, if you prefer that to a hostel then let me and Alejandro know. There's not one space for all four of you, rather two each with Alex and Alexis.

I've just posted this on the Amsterdam forum:
Tom and Bianca:
Ali, Jo (Los Conos)Giulio:
Poloholica, Frankfurt and Karlsruhe teams.Alex:
Brendan and Aidan (BAD polo)Alexis:
Dave (BAD polo) and Sarah (Los Conos)Raul:
Emmet, Jon & James (William)Hope that's cool with everybody. All these players are arriving throughout the afternoon on Friday 7th May. I suggest people meet at the polo court throughout the afternoon/evening (I'll be bringing a few from the Airport and it's easy to find). Once it gets dark or people want to chill, we can roll together to
the Sound Garden for a few beers. These would be good spots for people to meet with their hosts. -

.....
I will definitely be doing one ride out to the airport to pick people up on Friday afternoon, and I'll time this to try and bring as many people back as possible. (Please let me know what time you get in if you want to ride). ...Dave, Brendan, Aidan & I all arrive at 17.30 ish on Friday. We would like to ride. Does this fit with your one ride out to the airport or do we need to print out a map?
Cheers :)

Emmet has only just learnt how to tell the time by looking at the big hand and the little hand, the 24 hour clock is still some what of a mystery to him.
Here are some resources for those coming over to Amsterdam for the tournament next weekend.
ARRIVAL
For those arriving at Schiphol, it is possible to ride the whole way from the airport into Amsterdam using bike lanes the entire way. Here is the route I tend to use:

I will definitely be doing one ride out to the airport to pick people up on Friday afternoon, and I'll time this to try and bring as many people back as possible. (Please let me know what time you get in if you want to ride). Either way, it's not a difficult route to navigate on your own.
If you prefer to take the train into Amsterdam, keep your bike in the bag. Trains are very frequent. Amsterdam Centraal is the main station in the centre; Amsterdam Zuid is the closest station to the court. Both stations are served by frequent trains and its about a 10 minute ride and costs 3 or 4 EU.
THE COURT:
Here's the court where we'll be playing the tournament, and probably throw ins at other times

(it wasn't built when google took their spy shot!)
As you already know, the Olympic stadium will also be the finish for he Giro d'Italia time trial on Saturday, so it'll be busy. On the up side there'll be a great atmosphere, food and drink stalls and toilets available.
THE WEBSITE:
Taka has been putting up lots of details on the website. Check out who is playing, rules, format, etc. right here: http://polomania.wordpress.com/
ACCOMMODATION:
You should have all been contacted individually about this, but hit me up with questions if you're unsure where you are staying.
PARTY & BFF:
Bicycle Film Festival is in town: http://www.mediamatic.net/page/143980/nl?lang=en
And there'll be an awesome party on Saturday night with some of our good friends on the decks: http://www.mediamatic.net/page/135402/en
That's all I can think of for now. Can't wait :)
