Polo camp

Dear poloistas,

Polo camp is an idea that has been recently discussed in London. They are doing it outside of DC on May 29. I would love to go but probably can't make that.

I'd like to do it here (London/Western Europe) too. I don't think i can organize it. Please discuss.

I was chatting to Brendo tonight about the best line to play at a particular point in our game [of course I'd chosen the wrong option] and was thinking on the ride home that it would be good to have a session where some of us less experienced players could practise polo manoovahs under the tutelage of some of the more experienced players

Polo camp seems to have an aspect of this

the Munich open weeks are something similar, me thinks
the one the american are doing have the camping factor add to it, for some people good for some not so much

I think it would be cool to have it be an actual camp, as Mr Asito says, middle of nowhere.

The guys from Utrecht here have a polo court that they can fit in a van. It's a wooden and easily put together / taken apart. With something like this, all you need is a carpark or abandoned airfield, and there are plenty of these in the middle of nowhere...

Basically, what we need to move this forward, I think, is a proposed location, and then a date. So maybe we should focus first on figuring out a location.

Surely you just take a tent to Cambridge. Their courts in the middle of a park somewhere in the countryside.

camp in granchester. I used to all the time when i was a teenybopper.

Polo festival is on the cards. Not this year, but hopefully next. looking at locations, iain's been helping on that front. We'll see, all in good time.

Didn't ian post a roller hocky rink in the middle of no where in Scotland?

Do we have any more details on what the polo festival will be all about? Is it something that will be big and open to all Euros and/or all polo players? Should we not continue to consider a potentially-smaller scale polo camp for the LPC?

I vote only people born and raised within the M25 are allowed to attend this camp.
