For Sale: Look 555 carbon fibre frame 56cm

A reluctant sale here, but a sale nevertheless. For sale here is my LOOK 555, which is without doubt the best frame I've owned. I bought it in July 2008, and have ridden about 4000 miles on it. It's been in sportives, races, hill climbs, but has been well looked after and cared for and most importantly has never been crashed.

LOOK of course need no introduction having invented the automatic pedal and been making carbon fibre frames longer than anyone else. The LOOK 555 was billed as LOOK's sportive frame, though was replaced last year by the 566. Actually the 555 is better because it has the HSC 5 SL fork, which is the same as the one used on the higher end racing models. Even the dropouts are carbon fibre!

The frame is in fantastic condition, with just a few marks here and there mainly from transporting it in cars or on trains.

Comes complete with a headset (bearings are fine), seatpost and I've left the Campag Record bottom bracket cups in (which are fine), but will happily remove them should you wish to run a different crank system.

Also included are a couple of headset spacers, the gear cable stops, and the band on clamp for the derailleur.

Not sure of the exact weight and I'm sure you can find it on the internet, but suffice to say it is very light!

It is a size Large (56cm top tube), and rather than list all the measurements I've attached the exact geometry as a PDF. Non tyre-kickers are welcome to come over and I'll put some wheels and handlebars on if you're unsure about the size.

Also got the original receipts, manual, and warranty stuff for peace of mind. LOOK have a pretty good reputation in this regard, though.

it's a lovely frame. tempted to get it as a winter beater but i'm not a fan of red bits on bikes.

id be on it if; a) it was 1.0-1.5cm smaller, b) i had £££ to spill

colour scheme is alright, not as offensive as some of matt's bike shorts

Look have been working with carbon for a long time
this frame is a better proposition than a new dolan/planet-x etc.

If this wasn't a little on the large side I'd be interested, especially as I happen to know the present owner has only ever used it with glass cranks and pedals like a five year old girl.

I've dropped the price to £555!
