RIP. I've been hearing about this all day, but haven't yet found out the circumstances (restricted internet at work). Definitely a legend, and one that will be missed.

I'm still fairly gobsmacked by this comment. Anyway - in due respect (I already posted this on the RIP thread). This is just one example of soooo many why you are wrong.

too many big tunes to mention really
but i mean, seriously, of all the mcs to have a go at for their lyrical ability i'd really never expect to see guru's name pop up. -

^It's all relative to Primo and what he did/does because like it or not it just wasn't ever a 50:50 partnership.
And when everyone can see that it's going to poison a relationship eventually. -

My all time favourite;

Max that is a great track.
& yeah - both Guru & Premier were doing so much extra-currlicular stuff.

The Militia Feat. Big Shug & Freddie Foxxx.
JFK 2 LAX.
B.Y.S.
Code Of The Streets.
All 4 Tha Ca$h.
Betrayal Feat. Scarface.

"Step into the arena" and "daily operation" have got to be the 2 best albums. One of the most individual sounding mc's in the history of hip hop. A bit depressing that he felt he had to have a dig at his former collaborator from beyond the grave. Anyone know what caused such a rift?

is that sarcasm?
How the hell could that be sarcasm?

No Am being serious! I've got a dodgy internet connection & all my music is at home. I've got sporadic access to Youtube.
Gang Starr did so many good tracks I can't recall what is what. I'm using my dodgy connection to go through your list.
p.s. I'm in Birmingham with work - no offence to Brummies but wtf is going on here...

The Rep Grows Bigga is awesome too.
Sad news for hiphop fans for sure. Real shame to hear about him and Premier though, wonder what went wrong there?
