No information on time, but I suppose you could assume it's after dark if it's really busy.
Yes, from Charing Cross to Soho Square, next to where the Astoria used to be, although someone mentioned that it was 'around' that area so best to be careful a bit further afield.
Why do people go so bad. Sick.

yea i got an email too, which said a woman was "dragged round the back of a building, raped and beaten so badly she is now in a coma in hospital". what is this world turning into

I briefly heard something on the radio the other day about a woman being badly attacked in the area at around 3am after she got separated from her friends.

There's some kind of caged off 'alleyways' near the construction, on the right walking down TCR, that would take you that way. Fairly low ped traffic I'd guess. Falconberg Mews? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=tottenham+court+road&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hl=en&hq=&hnear=Tottenham+Court+Road+tube+station&ll=51.515778,-0.130986&spn=0.00114,0.002411&t=h&z=19

Yeah, that'd make sense

Yes and a woman went outside for a cigarette on the Strand the other week, about 7pm I think, and was dragged into an alleyway behind and raped. There is a lot of this shit going on and to think, you could walk or cycle past one of these cunts while they are out looking. Scum

this is from December 2009, apparently happened at Falconberg Mews:

I work in Soho. We had about three emails today from other offices/mates in the area warning about this. It is passing on...

http://www.lfgss.com/thread40995.htmlIrrelevant post is irrelevant, but yeh, its getting a bit sleazy.
Anyway... These cunts always get caught eventually and you can rest assured that the other inmates will do even worse things to them.
Be careful out there lasses.

Pepper spray might help.
'Tis a sad place, if you need to have something with you to protect yourself, but I'd rather be prosecuted for carrying an unlicensed can of Mace® than abused and beaten.
Pretty fucked up to have to really worry about getting assaulted.

heard about this today too, sounds like the internet is being useful for a change. it really is fucking disgraceful. those poor, poor women.

probably one of the first anti-violence campaigns that doesn't have the 'she was asking for it' subtext - like the 'keep yourself safe, don't walk down dark alleys, wear short skirts, sex-violence can be prevented' etc message.

Good heads up, although I'm not in London may friends are.
And FFS saying 'she's fit - I'd nail it' is normal male banter and is totally removed from rape down a back ally. If you think it is the same, or even related - you're a dick.

For the most part it's not even saying that. It's just saying "I think this person is really beautiful" - there's nothing wrong with that.

May be partly because of the building works around there? They may create ambush corners. When I heard that story of the poor woman who was dragged off the Strand I simply couldn't believe it.

They mark the package as $10 electrics - get some for your lady friends
A friend of mine works in the area and they have had a visit from the Police advising people not to take the alley way from Charing Cross to Soho Square, passed the old Astoria. There have been 3 horrifically brutal sexual attacks on women in the passed 7 months, and the CCTV isn't working because of the road works. FFS.
Please pass this on to anyone you think needs to know.
I hope they castrate the bastard, at the very least.
