League v3.0

I'm serious about having one massive league and saying we should start it in June, we'll get loads of games done in the summer months. This isnt the place to discuss, 1 game, 3 games, draws or GG's. But put your name down if you want to play in the league and want it to start in June or as soon as possible.

then maybe think about stacking your games up, but The point is to see the general mood of people wanting to play as many team as soon as possible. LAst year we wasted ages polling when to start the league etc. Personally if RA are in, RA vs BAD we could get together next week, play 3 games and kick off the league like that.. :)

June is 3 months from september, even with all the tournies and holidays i bet we could still get 6 fixtures done by september AND it will be warm.

Yeah, would be good to take a few weeks to get the current league finished then see if anyone wants to reshuffle players.

All seems a bit of a rush.

This is a bit like when you line up at school and want to be picked by the popular kids and not be the last one left to be chosen.

But I may have a team already, the other two being 'outsiders'. Should be interesting.

But is the league going to be in the summer? I think with so many tourney's and proper weather there is 100% no need for a summer league.
In fact I think the league could get in the way of tourneys could get in the way of the league, etc...
I say London's bike polo league V2.0 should start in October.
It gives us all something to look forward to, also gives all time to play with lots of people, fly off to tournaments around the world, make casual teams, see what works, and generally relax a bit about polo.
There will be enough to do this summer and I fear that a league may end up being a drag or dragged on because of people's other plans.

It's a valida point but surely the flip side is that that the teams who are staying together and want to play a league can still get on and do that? And any new teams that form before the start of a summer league can also sign up and play?

...but what def happened is the league dragged because it was winter when we got off the good foot.
