hmmm...love to, but will (hopefully) be sunning myself in mallorca. Which might lead me to miss the second one, the weekend after. I'll have forgotten how to ride my track bike by the time I find my way back....

• #3
Ill be riding...
-
• #4
Nope.

My endurance is non-existent and I am pissed off about that. I just couldn't bring myself to get out on the road when it was cold and wet. The rollers led me into t false sense of security I think. My top end speed seems to be good though.
Saying that I will be doing the last 2 omniums as I have plans for this Sunday. But I know they are going to stick me in with the A cats and I will probably disgrace myself. But never mind

I might make the last one, and will be doing this weeks, hopefully.
It seems to have come up very quickly though, and Im not at all confident about my fitness, having only been down HH twice this year. But might as well give it a bash. Be a good test if nothing else.Just a laugh really though.......innit?
YEAH!

I hope to ride them, assuming I can get a pass from childcare responsibilities. It'll not be pleasant but I need to get my arse back on the track.
-
• #8
Will they let me ride in the B-Cat??

Will they let me ride in the B-Cat??
Probably not, you have to be reasonably fast to ride with the B-Cat's.
Perhaps stick with the Go-Ride races :-)

You mean I need to put the stabilizers back on? Bugger... and here I was thinking I had progressed...
;-)

Are you back on the bike Adam?
I won't be racing, might go on a road ride instead.
Next race for me is London Champs in July which clashes with the last day of the euro masters it looks like, but will probably do some of the opens that are having sprint events in.

Yup... back on the bike. Been out a few time on the road and spent some time on the track at Fast Tracks Calshot weekend.
I might just ride the A-Cat and suffer at the back. Use it as training.
:-)

Good work, that's a timely recovery.
It'll certainly be good training if this wind keeps up :(

What's an omnium? Are they different in spring to summer or autumn?
-
• #15
Leaves are slightly different colours, but racing is the same format.
Take part in a number of different races over an afternoon, eg 10 lap scratch, 15 lap devil, 2 lap sprint, etc, best overall wins the omnium.

• #16
That sounds like fun
-
• #17
Yes thats one word for it
-
• #18
I'll do em. Echoing people's feelings of lack of fitness but it's spring - no big problem.
I don't think anyone will balk at people signing on in a caragory lower than last year - as long as you don't take the piss.

Yes I am up for the Omniums (B's) .... Feeling unfit but looking forward to it!

After the good friday debacle I've got unfinished business at herne hill. Hopefully up in a fortnight. See y'all there.
-
• #21
Any details - like start time, number and type of races, overall length of event etc?
-
• #23
Actually I think it starts at 1pm, not 1:30 as it's stated on BC site.
If it's like the last year's, the format will be 10-15 lap scratch, 12-15 lap points, 3 lap dash, and elimination, and separate 20km scratch at the end. -

Yasu. Your license is in the office at HH, amongst some others that were left on Good Friday

Looking forward to this, kind of.
First one this Sunday 11th April 2010. Who's gonna have a go?
