Do Shimano's model numbers mean anything in terms of a 'heirarchy' of low to high end shoes? Higher number = more features perhaps? 220 is better than 160 which is better than 099?

yes, and the higher numbers are coincident with higher prices too.......

I had to claw that one back.....
Got these shoes from here but they are just the tiniest bit too big for me so reluctantly selling on. They have incredibly stiff, carbon soles and look pretty bling.
They are Shimano size 8.5 / 43. My normal shoe size is around 9-9.5 so these would fit someone whose feet are 9.5-10.
They have been ridden around 5 times - enough time for me to know they don't fit. Damn!
The shoes cost me £40 so that's the price I'm asking for. Any takers?
