Definately Austrian, think I have the same frame.
Very nice, but a "bit" pricey.

To save myself from other similar inquiries I'm replying this one here on the thread.
**Subject: campag track frame** There is no such thing as a Campag track frame - it's either nicked or you've been sold a pup - you're either an idiot or a crook - I suspect the former..............
Campagnolo stickers refer to the dropouts and the track ends. The frame is RIH, can't tell what the tubing is. In a similar way you sometimes see frames with Cinelli stickers, when the lugs and/or bottom bracket are by Cinelli, even though the frame itself is not.
I don't know if this is Austrian or NL RIH. A source in another bike forum has this to say:
RIH Austria are top-notch racing bikes, and I have only seen road models. RIH Holland are strongly built racing frames, built for Kermesse races, and track. Both are quality frames.
Either way, here is another thread on RIH.
@ [sender of the query] - an idiot or a crook... can I phone a friend?

are you for real? £600?
this is worth £150, £200 if you're really lucky =)
-
• #11
Frame is definately austrian.
600 is too much indeed, but 150 is way too low.
RIH might not be very popular with you guys, but over here in Austria, people will kill for a frame like that ... :D -
• #12
Here in NL it would be fake.
Only RIH frames from Amsterdam rule here. -
• #13
£600 is fine, bunch of winos.
-
• #14
£600 is fine? lol.
it's a basic 531 track frame. if the mark itself is worth something, it's won't be worth something to people on here. OP - best bet is ebay, good luck.

The person I'm selling it for reckons that in ebay it would sell for more than £600, but ebay and paypal would be taking their share and there is postage and packaging and the rest. This forum is where the local people are who are into track frames, or so I've understood.
^ Now will you take your catfight someplace else.
With Love.

I don't think you can compare these frames. This one is a track one. And it has Campagnolo stickers.
Still, it's not like the horizontal dropouts cost £470.... Do they? -

You are 'quoting' for a completely different frame? the first frame hasn't got track ends for a start...ie the one at the top of the page...it's a track frame.
You see...the hooky bits the end of the triangley bit (usually known as the drop outs) ...that you stick the wheel in , in this case the back wheel, are different...thus the geometry of the frame is usually different. and in the second picture you cannot ascertain from the photos whether they are track dropouts either...and neither of the other two frames has as nice a paint job, call me a sucker though that campag logo is well schweet...
If you don't want to buy the frame then to each his/her own...don't start all sort of comparisons, and if you do...at least compare the same things.
It is a bit toppy...though it isn't laughabley over priced......and if I sound a little patronising....well...you put on that hat first
one more thing...it's in perfect fucking condition...there is hardly a mark on it...so...add a perfect paintjob to something, including the lug liging and decals, campag logo...and you are already talking about £250..oh...and a nice chrome headset £40-50...

Now .. It's hardly a 'completely different' frame, is it :)) Both 531, both same era, both campag dropouts. Fair enough, a track frame might fetch more, but how much more ... certainly not twice as much, 4 times as much is in taking-the-piss territory, especially since it didn't even sell at less than 1/4th the price.. on eBay (which has a much wider audience than this forum), from a reputable seller, with a million HQ pics.
Also, i hope you both clicked on the second link up there. it's a track RIH, with a BB/HS, and a campy front wheel, mavic rear wheel, and it was sold for less than half this. 2 years ago.. when track frame prices were higher than they are today.

That track RIH sold to the same bloke who just spent around £600 buying his latest track frame. Which demonstrates that your argument fails to notice that in the past two years the price of track frames has raised massively, and that this frame is relatively rare and in near perfect condition, and a lovely collectors piece with the those campag stickers.
That said I doubt it will sell for that much, particularly here.
