I've done it through Camelot for about a year in a council block in Streatham. The cheap rent is good; the fact that they can come round to your house and let themselves in at any time is marginally annoying; being given a week's notice to leave was pretty horrendous. They're supposed to give a minimum of four weeks' notice but when I did it there was some sneaky clause about them being able to change the contract at any time, or something ridiculous.
Does anyone here have any experience of guardianship tenancies? That's where you live as a private residential tenant in a commercial or vacated property to act as it's guardian.
Just looking at this as a possiblity for a potential upcoming move and wondering if anyone has any advice?
