Just kidding, but I was hoping in the last 20 seconds when he started rapidly destroying a pair of perfectly good shoes someone would open a car door.

It went all scribbly at the end because they didn't want us to see the frightened hipster drifting out into fast moving traffic with melted rubber dripping from his feet.
Maybe I'm getting old, but I don't find shit like that cool.
Like MA3K says, I'm sort of hoping he get's doored or something. -

liked the way they made hanging on to vehicles look really easy, relaxed and safe
when it its actually risky as fuck.
also the lighting pretty good on the surfaces,
makes you want to ride San Fran dosent it.
didnt give you a clue about the bikes= great ad. -

I've never seen anyone do it in London, something tells me your average London driver wouldn't like it.
-

kinda boring, wahey you ride your bike around a city in a style that causes drivers to dislike cyclists, so what? would much prefer some video like this if it had some kind of story or anything of merit.

I've always wondered why the hell people hold on to vehicles like that. Surely It's really fucking dangerous, all you'd have to do is hit a pot hole or change in surface and you could be thrown under the wheel right?

^ It looks cool though so it's worth dying.

The feet-on-the-downtube bombing-the-hill thing at the end is a bit scary, I couldn't do that... He has skills... They wanna sell bikes, I'm sure this'll work for Leader...

i just had my own little hipster epiphany.
when he pulled out the retro hipster accessory throwaway camera at the beginning a frisson of excitement overcame me and i knew a visual cornucopia was going to overflow before my very eyes. -

Anyone know what the instrumental track is they're using in the video? I think the ad is good in terms of execution. It projects the image of "coolness" and "relax" mixed with "street credibility", good weather and rider ability. You can probably guess which market they are targeting there and where they want to position themselves. Fair enough, that's advertising for you. Those people shouting how irresponsible this ad is: It's advertising, not a promotion for the Cycling Campaign. Get over it.

Used to grab wheel arches and tailgates way back in my courier days in Perth WA to get a quick lift up Malcom and Hay streets.
Most drivers wouldn't notice but I had a few that would drift the car to the left and right to dislodge you.
The roads were smooth and wide with fuck-all traffic. In London there doesn't seem much point.

To wish someone harm is another thing.
Got to take your hat off for the guy in terms of bike handling.
That was the intent of the advert.
People want to see the envelope pushed.
It's not a safety promotional video.
It's a rep call for the associated brand.

I did, but I am not hating other people's riding style, the dude can ride.
I know people might not dig the foot over the rear wheel, oh wheel, don't do it them. -
• #23
Yes he can ride, so can Ted Shred.
Just seems a waste of shoes. -
• #24
he wastes shoes ergo he should be hit by a door.
howd u know the shoes arent a higher compound rubber and the tyres the thing being 'wasted'
