the amount of tourists getting their cameras out felt a bit grotesque.
but has it's uses I suppose.

Could they have just crashed without being hit?
Chopper... hope it's not too serious. At least it still means they're alive right?

Yes i saw the aftermath shook me up a bit, a very nice looking yellow and blue brompton. a pile of clothes, a small puddle of blood and a full evans bag. what was weird was it was not near a junction at all.
The bike and the bag seemed fine so hopefully the guy/girl came off all right too. The whole street was closed and as starfish and coffee said there were people taking photos of it which i thought was a bit strange aswell. -

Look at the crowd!
That's the kind of shit luck i would have just popping out the shops in my missus t-shirt and an old pair of 1980's nut smugglers that you use to paint around the house. just thrown any shit on to nip out and wallop, rta and you are spread eagle in front of an army of tourists.
shocker! i'd have stayed downhope this kid is ok, that junction is pretty slow due to the amount of traffic and peds so fingers crossed it isn't that bad

You have Happy Shopper on the corner and I reckon they all know you as the local Eddie Izard ;p
Hope the cyclist was ok and the roads are fcuking bad at the moment so it could have been a pothole that caused the accident as those small wheels can get trapped.

Can't post new thread as new here, but hit-and-run driver knocked down a cyclist on kingsland road, by bridge over canal, around 10.30 this morning. he stopped for a second, saw rider wasn't moving, then drove off. rider was in a lot of pain but conscious. passerby got reg number of asshole in car and called police.

Look how slow the rotors are going!
Happened 16:00 - 16:30 today.
A brompton bike or similar in the road, and a white adult male on the stretcher. Whatever hit the rider was not there anymore when I passed the scene. Saw an ambulance or two, an ambulance helicopter and a few bicycle ambulance crews.
It was right by the Odeon cinema in the Covent Garden part of Shaftesbury Avenue, a bit strange since that is a straight strech of road with about 20 metres to the nearest sidestreets and crossing.
I think I saw some movement from the person on the stretcher so let's hope for the best.
