NCR 5 from town to Wolves

How muddy will it get? In town it's quite paved, not been north of the city centre but need to head that way on Friday for work. It's that or twisting about city centre roads that I don't know.

Is that the canals that go through west brom?

It gets very muddy, and extremely thick in slippery leaves during winter. During this time of year, and especially as it hasnt rained heavily for a while, it should be fine.

To answer my own question, took the canal on the way back, level with the metro stop - the one before you get to the Hawthornes. Going from town you have the choice to ride out on the left or the right - the right hand side is clear and wide, the left is muddy and narrow. My biggest problem was not knowing the canals in brum and circling town a couple times trying to get out.
