  • Hello all,

I am looking for a cheap good quality t-shirt printers that will print my design onto some white t-shirts for me.

this is the design i am looking at printing, its for my girlfriend! haha

so if you could let me know of any decent places that would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    ben

  • Hi, I want to make a custom tshirt as a present, and I know the lady prefers white drawings on a black tshirt rather than black drawing on a white one. I prepared the image, scanned it and faffed up in photoshop. Now I need:

    1) someone who prints custom tshirs (in an ideal world on fair trade cotton)
    2) someone who can do (1) and take my image and print it without fuckups.

I can provide the original 'black ink on white paper' image, the same 'white on black background' or even a PNG of either with the background turned 'transparent'.

I have seen 'white on black background' custom tshirt but they were shit because the black background got printed as well. Any ideas?

  • Can anyone point me to a place who do cheap screen printing(possibly in London).

  • what quantity, how many colours, what do you think is cheap etc…

  • around 25 but may increase quantity if I get more interest - 4 colors. I really dont know the prices for getting this service done.

  • t-shirts will be about 3-4 quid a unit - it's about £50 set up per screen [you'll need a screen per colour] so you're looking at 200 set up, this normally doesn't change regardless of if you're printing 2 or 200 shirts

with production costs plus vat etc you're looking at between 10 to 12 quid per t for that quantity

  • Excellent Screen Print people here in Birmingham:

    http://missionprint.co.uk/

They do loads of street/skate clothing and have done art stuff for people including Banksy.

Only Charge £20-£30 per screen too.

  • Got to do a short run t shirt order - 3 colours, seam to seam across the chest

budget is not unreasonable for this…

    What's me best option

    cheers in advance

  • .... depends on the quantity. A short run used to be (about 10 years ago) 50+ shirts, but these days with the advent of digital stuff a short run starts at 1 shirt. Until 2 years ago I ran a print and copy shop - then, a screen printer would probably charge you about £50 per screen (1 per colour) and then just a few bob each to run them off. We used to print shirts from laser transfers run through our Xerox and we charged £10 each with small discounts after the first 5 shirts. The Xerox option is limited to transfer size, usually A4 or A3.

    Hope this is some help.

  • cheers conkee - Short run is just that, 4 t shirts max

I know you can get heat transfer vinyl for one colour t shirt graphics done abd have used them meself but I was wondering if you there was a way of printing a design onto vinyl that you could then iron on to the shirt…

they are for a prize so laser transfers might look a bit 'snappysnaps' if you know what I mean

  • Have you spoken to Murtle or Dmczone?

There used to be a place in Covent Garden that did printing but I think they moved as they redeveloped the shops, not sure if they are still around.

  • I had a stupidly complex run of t-shirts to print for work, something along the lines of 250 shirts, 15 different designs, silly small numbers of each in sizes s-xxl, some designs full colour, some 2 colour etc. Went and had a chat with the people that run Western Printers on Cleveland St and they were incredibly helpful throughout, and came through with a ludicrously quick turn-around to top it all off.
They don't screen as far as I know, but they do Direct to Garment, transfer and vinyl stuff. I've got a lot of t-shirt related phone numbers saved at work I can pass on to you tomorrow if needs be, including some screen printing places.

  • that western printers sound like a good hook up

I normally use shirtysomething for t-shirt printing but it's just not cost effective in this instance

    cheers 6pt

  • Doesn't JD have the required equipment?

  • idressmyself.co.uk?

  • Doesn't JD have the required equipment?

I only have a heat press that i use for heat transfers. I dont actually make the transfers yet. Looking into it at the moment as i tried to run a few t's for prizes once and they wanted £15 per t-shirt for a basic one colour print.

  • I need to quote a job for T-shirt design including printing. Does anyone have a rough idea how much to print 4 colours on 30 T-shirts?

  • ask wayno or dmc zone

  • ring Rog at www.shirtysomething

each colour is going to cost you about 40 notes for the screen then you've got the t-shirt and printing costs,

I can only further this recommendation, sensational service and quality.

  • Coolness, cheers guys. I might not get the job but I do need to give them an guestimation. Any rough educated guess at how much in total?

  • double-hijack
anyone got any experience/recommendations for digital printing onto fabric, in particular silk?

I have been in contact with FabPad at UEL but it's going to be expensive, even for a test run. Any other knowledge much welcomed.

  • Oh - its like that is it stelle?
