Correct "Do a skid" etiquette

Now considering I ride the single speeds bike and not fixed gear, what is the correct response if I should ever hear the fabled cry of "Do a skid" (not that I'd imagine this will happen here in deepest SE London).

Considering that I am riding bothbrak™ is it cheating for me to just do a shitty backbrakskid™ or was the person who shouted at me in the wrong in the first place for not noticing that I am not actually riding a nobrak™ fixieskidder™ therefore don't have the equipment (or lack of) to pull off a "proper" skid for them.....
