  • X-E1 hands down

..just realised there's an X-A1 now, too (much the same, but without a finder, much cheaper).

the viewfinder on the x-e1 is ace though, and the ergonomics of it.

  • My x100 has broken for the second time. The screen and viewfinder do not respond when the camera is turned on. Disappointing. Although their repair centre is really good.

  • What camera did you use for these?

  • Ricoh GRD3 (and quite a bit of post processing).

  • Ricoh for teh win!

  • Indeed.

  • Favorite from the T.O.B time trial
Decided to 'Pan all the shots' so hit rate wasn't too great but good practice all the same

  • Took this today. Its 38 images stitched together in photoshop. Took quite some time to render and the original is just over 586 megapixles... Had to check that number three times to be sure.

Its just a shame the best bits would be lost in cropping.

  • ..get a wide angle lens?

  • Yeh, it was more of an experiment. Could have done it in three photos with the 6D+40mm.

  • The detail is incredible on the full-size one, though...

  • Nice. West Wintergarden in Canary Wharf right? Used that location a fair few times. The B&W swirly floor always looks great. Asked to do a bike shoot in there (skids and shit) many years back but was denied by owners. Boo.

  • Took these this afternoon. Light wasn't particularly great in photo 2 & 3, but as they're for some autumn/winter collection promo, I think they'll suit the seasons.

  • ^Awesome shots and processing

  • So. Remember how we talked about SD cards?

I go on holiday tomorrow morning at 07:00. I still haven't bought any SD cards.

Where can I get SD cards at a reasonable price today, in the shops?

  • Anywhere that price matches?

    +1

    proper good. What's it for?

  • Anywhere that price matches?

Good thinking. Ugh I leave everything to the last minute and I probably won't even like 99% of the photos I take in Vietnam.

I feel like Harry Enfield's Kevin today. Might have a little tantrum in a meeting room.

  • While a mobile phone isn't the best of camera, I thought the iPhone panoramic setting was rather decent.

  • Thanks! They're for the shop I work at. :)
Using a decent 24-105L lens did make it a lot more fun to work on these photos, compared to the 35 2.0 I normally use/own..

Fixation in Kennington. Or just hit up duty-free. Maybe Maplin?

Pretty hard to not take good photos there. Where you going? Clara and I went two years ago, travelling south to north along the coast. It was amazing.

Advice: Don't waste any money eating in restaurants. Street food is the best and cheapest.
If you go to Hoi-an, go to Mr. Lee and get yourself as many suits/trousers made up as you can afford. I only got a pair of trousers made up, wish I'd got more. Cost me £8, and the fit the best of all my clothes. I want to go back in a few years and get a whole wardrobe made up. Message me on FB if you want any more tips. Enjoy, it's an amazing country.
