Was there this week, amazing museum.
Took me about 6+ hours to get there from London.the museum used to be in Lincoln, in fact went to visit lincoln looking for that museum after reading about it in a old guidebook...It had moved to Llandrindod wellls 13 years earlier.
There's a victorion festival there in august which features penny farthing riding according to the curator
http://www.victorianfestival.co.uk/index.php?page=1Should be a cycling museum in london...

Glad someone else enjoyed it, curator didn't mention August event but could be tempted to go that way, due in wales for a race mid aug - ideal if the dates match :)

which race? you cant say that without wanting us to know or you wouldnt have said it.........

Went there last summer. OD'd on Penny Farthings. If you never seen one before then seriously go and knock yourself out.
TBH - I thought it was great overall - it's run by a very committed and well intentioned old boy - but my only criticism would be that there is a bit too much crammed in, there is also a weird radio display in the middle of the museum... WTF?
I think it could do with a professional curator sorting it out. And possibly moving the whole museum to a more accessible location.
Saying that - I'm planning to visit again soon.

Agreed it's a bit cramped in and out of the way. After hours spent getting there my gf was seriously ready to go after an hour, and tho i could've done a while longer my head was starting to spin a bit... Little and often would work better for sure.

Ha! Wow.
There's a couple of hills around that might fit that bill, such as Muswell Hill. Especially back when brakes were a lot shitter.
