I'll try that tomorrow morning, and if it doesn't work I'll try oven cleaner. Any further suggestions?

And what's the general rule, if you've got the flu do you go to work (can't afford to take unpaid 3 days sick leave) or do you carry on working as usual and hope it goes away before/during the weekend?
Well, I am paid daily rates. So the question is "Do I feel X times £ sick?" which usually comes to "no". Then I go and spread the germs in the office by leaving used tissues everywhere.

Go to work as normal. Push through until lunchtime and then go round the corner to the pub with your boss. Makes sure your boss gets properly wasted whilst you surreptitiously stick to something tee total. Persuade your boss that you're both too drunk to go back to the office and agree that you should go home on full pay. The next day be adamant that he bought all the drinks and that you'll work double hard to make up for it when you can be bothered.

Go to work then pull a sickie when you feel better and are able to enjoy your time off. There's nothing worse than being at home ill.

That's good logic, it's the same as the hangover theory.

Go to work; collapse; win sympathy.
Most places won't dock you a day sick if you show up and they send you home.

Grow some quim and get on with it.
Incidently, I've heard more people moan about how much men moan about being ill, than I've heard men moan about being ill. Maybe its because I'm doing all the moaning, or maybe it's cock and nonsense

I'm feeling dreadful and am 100% sure that I got it from the coughing/sneezing mob in the office.
So why would you want to go back there and endanger other males?

I find cycling to Wests and drinking copious amounts of helps you forget about the Man Flu. You could choose any of the drinks to do this or just go to all of them then you won't remember a thing all week ;p

I've been lucky enough not to have any flu like symptoms for over 2 years, up until today.
I'm feeling dreadful and am 100% sure that I got it from the coughing/sneezing mob in the office. How do you fight this evil virus, apart from HTFU etc. my medicine of choice used to be Sinutab™ but has the side effect that I can't sleep properly whenever I take it.
And what's the general rule, if you've got the flu do you go to work (can't afford to take unpaid 3 days sick leave) or do you carry on working as usual and hope it goes away before/during the weekend?
I only take days off work when I am actually incapable of doing my job which is almost never.
