Don't bother - too much risk of spider interference. Gebhardt still list them, although said they'd remove the listing after I was the umpteenth person to find the chain wouldn't quite sit on the ring properly.
What gear ratio are you trying to acheive? Must be possible with another ring…

I thought 144bcd only went down to 42t... You live and learn... Get an inverse spider shim, åsm sells them on his website...

@BMMF: 41 is prime! and i want to get track cranks... also, it's not really about the inches, i don't know why.
also, regarding the fact that it won't sit on it properly, could you sand the spider end down a bit, or use nuts for a double chain ring and shim it a bit?

You could file the spider arms a bit, but I'm not keen on removing any metal from my drivetrain, and I wouldn't bother with anything less than a 43t (also a prime, as is 47).

You can get a 41T but not in 1/8th. It will sit properly so don't worry about that, scour eBay for Gipeimme, Zeus or Campag

but it doesn't sound as good as 41...

41 x 12 was an Awesome gear, it would accelerate super quick. I used it beat Fredric Magne at Bercy stadium, Paris.

i'm about to start using 41 x 13 on one bike, but its 110 BCD... i flip to 18t for the hills.

A 3/32 41t ring is going to get 'melty' teeth in no time, used in high force applications, isn't it?
I've killed 3/32 rings in 38t/39t used for a handful of short sharp hillclimbs (plus 6 weeks of specific training).

^maybe it's not so bad on the track with no road grime in the mix :/
Does anyone have one or know where I can get one?
Apparently (I have UTFS) they're very rare, but I though it was worth a try.
Cheers
