For Sale: Campag/Assos Wheels

Old school track wheelset:

Campagnolo Nuovo Record Hubs on Assos 16mm tubular rims with stainless aero spokes.

Rear hub has a small amount of flaking on the outside of the flanges but this could be easily polished out. Otherwise they are in good condition but missing the lock-ring.

Rims are true, straight, no dings, just a couple of minor marks.

Front is radially laced the rear is a 3-cross.

Looking for £175 posted. Let me know if you need any more info or pics.

have those hubs been sandblasted?

Yeah, they have the satin finish as mentioned.

Tom - The rims? - I don't think they have, I had a set of these (Clincher, Mind) and they were a lovely satin effect finish.

Nah the hubs, the finish looks like sandblasted metal (i recently tested this out on some pedals.). Probably just the photos. sounds like a nice wheelset, was just curious.

i'll take these if they're still about once i've rearranged some funds

hubs- its verdi gris on the alu where they sat in the open air for some long time- it can be polished off, ideally when the hub is free of spokes- a Solvol Autosol jobby would make them glitter.

Alu needs to be covered with eg Waxoyl to keep it in good nick if storing it.
