  • Hi

I copied this from my motorcycle forum.

Basically they are tagging their motorcycle from one location to another. They take a photo of the same spot as the last poster and then take a pic of wherever they want.

I don't think it has been done on here yet. I hope it can be done.

    Rules:

    Bicycle must be in pic.
    1 clue only.

    [

    Clue: Red Cross lol

Whoops the title is abit fucked lol. Can it be changed to '2010 Bicycle Tag' perhaps? Oh and I am not sure how to resize the pic. Sorry

    Playing Bike Tag

    • Look at last tag
    • If you know it, or can find out... get yourself and your bike there
    • Take photo of your bike at the location
    • Go elsewhere and take a photo of your bike at another location
    • Post both photos on here
    • Tell people where the old tag was
    • Don't tell people where the new tag is
    • If needed (obviously non-obvious), offer obscure clues as to the new tag location

    Bike Tag Guidelines:

    1. Old and new tags must have the same bicycle
    2. Old tag isn't taken until the new tag is posted (post them at the same time)
    3. Tags must be within London (limits are the North and South Circular roads)
    4. Tag locations must be freely accessible to the public
    5. No reflection porn
    6. No blank or near blank walls
    7. No hogging the game

    Map of Tags
All tags are being tracked in a Google Map:
    ](http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj226/UnseenPower/010220102018.jpg)http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=203766651675910830999.00049e9e63df3d6ca89dc

Anyone can update that... so please do so if you notice it becoming stale.

Please log out of Google when viewing the map

    • to view all tags at once
    • to keep the pins where they are

    Thank you. Oat44.

    Skully: 'Wait, there's a map?!'

    Blog of Tags
There's also a blog of all images:
    http://bicycletagofbike.tumblr.com/

    whatok updates that.

Thank you to Oliver for resurrecting the game. Thank you all for contributing, it is a pleasure to read and see your BTOB.

  • This is a really good idea man +1!

  • Ha.

Quite a few people on here will know where this is.

Let's see if they want to play.

Edit much later--links to the BtoB maps:

Best to sign out of your google account when viewing

    • to see all previous tags at once
    • to avoid accidently moving the place markers when you move the map around (has happened a lot recently)

I won't be able to update it for a few days, if anyone would like to have a go, feel free ;-)
prepare links and captions beforehand to avoid disappointment when saving goes bad

p.s. cunning tip, found a way to search words on the map: click 'print' and it lists all the text in a searchable page

    p.p.s not naggin :)

  • It's abit late to start it, but I was not allowed to add my bicycle into the thread on their lol. I don't ride my lil 125 cc motorcycle anymore since having a bicycle :)

It's pretty good there because it;s the south east of england where I belong. Loads of famous places but I'm sure London alone will have plenty of famous spots.

    I know you're a hackney lad Oliver :)

  • I like this idea! Actually tempted to ride up "there". Not that tempted though.

  • Thats not hackney.

  • I think the train station half a kilometre away would beg to differ.

  • Isn't it islington?
    But still a good game.

  • Islington starts at Southgate Road.

  • I think the train station have a kilometre away would beg to differ.

I beg to differ. Train stations don't beg to differ. Not even train stations in Hackney. :)

  • Islington starts at Southgate Road.

The closest point of LB Islington is near Dalston Junction--almost all of Ball's Pond Road is the borough boundary between Hackney and Islington there. [/anal about borough boundary since I organise a borough boundary ride every year in Bike Week]

  • So south side of Balls Pond until South Gate (after which all of) is Hackney? North is Islington?

    (it's still in Hackney, though)

  • Is it Korea?

  • So south side of Balls Pond until South Gate (after which all of) is Hackney? North is Islington?

Yes, only the little bit north of Ball's Pond Road between Kingsland Passage and the A10 is in Hackney. From the Southgate Road/Mildmay Park junction westwards, BPR is in LB Islington.

You can see borough boundaries as the thick light purple lines on Streetmap.

    (it's still in Hackney, though)

The place in the photograph certainly is.

  • Back to the original post, sounds like a bit of fun and reminded me of this - http://www.geocaching.com/

  • I know where it is! But I'm nowhere near, so can't play :( (i always thought that was hackney)

  • Great game idea! I have a feeling it's not where people think that is!

  • Great game idea! I have a feeling it's not where people think that is!

Well, there's only one Red Cross building in Hackney. :)

  • No, that's too bright and the weather is too good. It must be somewhere else.

  • If I photoshop my bike onto google streetview pictures, does it count?

  • no.

  • If I photoshop my bike onto google streetview pictures, does it count?

Well, you can fool some of the people some of the time ...

  • Where Dalston Lane becomes Graham Road, just over the big confusing junction with Queensbridge Road! I live there...

  • You ruined it!!! Your supposed to take a pic of you bike there, not just say where it is.
