The police tend to act on public concerns
we need to make our concerns re cars in asls etc voiced
also that something like 15% of vehicles in London are not legal
these things actually cause much greater risk than cyclist rlj.
As such go to the meeting and express your concerns

I ride through K&C to work..
if they could put a solid cycle lane from sloane square all the way to putney bridge, that would be awesome, also a little one between the lanes outside the fire station. Also exempt us from the red light outside heal's.
work permitting, I will come to this.

'bump.
reasons being:
1) it's this Wednesday
2) there's a bit of an update:there will be maps there where you can indicate which 1 way streets you would like to turn to 2 way for bikes. It does appear permeability is the name of the game in K&C.
oh, afterwards, we're going to a pub.
'We shall be holding our own meeting directly after the Council Forum, at the Devonshire Arms, 37 Marloes Road, London W8 6LA'.
They do 'pretty good' 'inexpensive (for K&C)' food and proper beer/cider.

thanks for coming. good numbers indeed.
pub afterwards we got a few more people interested :)some key points came out of discussions, they'll be mentioned at some point I think :)
important things
-more 2 way for cyclists 1 way streets are coming in K&C as soon as the Department of transport says yes. K&C are ready to go.- we all need to be better at writing to the various levels of Politicians. this is huge.

There is a Kensington & Chelsea Cycle Forum taking place on Wednesday 10th March from 6pm
where: Mosaic Rooms, 226 Cromwell Road, London SW5 0SW
2 speakers (Cycling England, LCC), a whole bunch of council people/planners etc.
Full Details & link to map are here: http://www.kc-cyclists.org.uk/site/?p=35

if you live, work or study in K&C or ride through K&C it would be good to attend so you can make your views known to people that make the cycling transport decisions.*..
as you were.... (been prompted to start a new thread for this))
