I like Carl's Cars, I haven't bought it for a while, think it's still going though. Here is a review of it http://www.lifeiscarbon.com/weblog/2007/01/a_magazine_abou.html it's not so much about cars really

I like The Ride Journal very much. I don't even really think of it is bike-related in the conventional sense, even though that's the common denominator between the articles.
I used to read all sorts of architecture journals religiously, but now the only one that I consider consistently brilliant is Detail, a German one that is available in an English edition.

'Detail' - cool I'll chaeck it out. The ride is by far one of the best publications of the last 5 years - so many independent journals try and present a 'theme' that actually it turns out is too niche to continue working with easily, let alone be of interest. I think you've hit the nail on the head there - the Ride isn't really about bikes, it's about riders. I can't think of another publication like it.

Well thank you kindly!
COG I've got - though to be honest I don't think it's that up there... it's a good read and all but it's not pushing the envelope in format or content to the degree that I'd really like to celebrate. Rouleur on t'other hand...

A bit of a dredge, but I brought a copy of Inventory Magazine the other day. It has a really interesting interview with Antonio Columbo of Cinelli. An interesting mag that I would say is worth a look.
I have also just ordered a copy of Port magazine which I am very much looking forward to reading. It has been reviewed well and looks to have some interesting stuff.

Got the first three issues for a fiver then cancelled, I just don't dig mags anymore, it's a good read though, the front cover photos are rubbish, they're going for the whole B&W poetry of cycling angle but they just end up looking like washed-out snaps
I used to write a blog on printed publications:
http://goodoldfashionedprint.blogspot.com/
but didn't have much time so it fell by the way side. Anyhoo, my work situation has changed so I'll have time to look at this during work now so thought we could start a thread on things I should be writing about and also things others should be reading. Any reccomendations? I know SpecialTen needs to go in (been buying it for donkeys - can't believe I forgot that one), COG too.
It needn't be bike related, and my appreciation for it as much about the use of the format and presentation (texture, approach etc.) as it is about the content so fire away!
