  • Really? Shit..

  • there is a review of this movie on bikesnob, funny

  • You know... crucify me, but even being an avid cyclist I can't find much of interest about watching others cycling from place A to place B, fixed-wheel or not. I find it marginally more interesting watching a documentary following someone around the world, but then what is interesting is how they adapt to the various conditions, handle the loneliness across the expanses between cities, etc... but this... this is just something you should go do yourself, and you should experience. And that experience isn't something that an amateur film could really put across, so colour me a sceptic. I just don't find cycling films like this interesting.

  • Ultimately to those who want to take a week to do a cycle ride I have only this to say: Your personal challenge is not an epic.

    If you want to make a statement about riding fixed-gear... go ride the RAAM in a fixed team using your dumb city bikes, vans and jeans and then I might be slightly over-awed by just how much a dumb person might achieve on the wrong equipment. Until then, woop-de-do-dah... well done, you've achieved very little so big up to you, you're clearly fucking awesome.

    Grrr.

  • Ooh, someone didn't get their juice this morning... ;P

  • I read the Dresden thread. I'm feeling trigger happy this morning.

  • ;_;

  • Forum's gone apeshit... Roll on summer...

  • Velocio
    dont really understand your hostility and strangeness ! wtf !!!!!1

  • Slow!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just watch part 1, and absolutely loved it. Cheers, Yap.

  • I agree with velocio. These kinda trips are more for doing than watching. Just cause you do it on a fixie fixie fixie and bring a HD camera doesn't make it worth showing the world.

    Or maybe it is, If people wanna watch it then show it etc, but don't make it bigger than it is

  • ... yup, they're a bunch of narcissistic, sanctimonious, ego-driven dicks obsessed by their over-priced vanity bikes who talk a whole load of guff. Sounds kinda familiar to anyone here? Nudge nudge, wink, wink.

  • I quite enjoyed it except for whe he said that shit about killing the world - am I not right in thinking that a bunch of americans could have done an equal length ride in america without flying across the planet.

    Daft twat. I wish people'd see it's ok to be into bikes without banging on about drivers being planet rapists (this coming from a committed anti-driver).

  • Tokyo to Osaka? thats what, a 3 day ride... would be pretty boring actually, even less reason to watch it
