how much for the wheels?

toe-clip overlap?
Quite normal for a real track bike. Who cares? Even US government will not complain as it is not road-worthy. No dropout security tabs either.

Don't sneeze whilst riding whatever you do, you'll be over the other side of the road before you know it ! Awesome bike.
Love it.
-
• #16
Roll safe... As Dutch Cheese said; Pretty much every proper track bike has overlap, on account of their short wheel base and steep head angle.
newportgotfixed - which wheels do you mean?

Maybe with a bike but with nice components like this it might be more economically viable to split?

Hello all,
Got some stuff for sale.
Some is excess, some just isn't being used enough.
Pick-up from Kennington - day or night. Could meet Central London maybe...
You can dibs, but I will be going on whatever PM comes in first, because that's easiest for me.
As always, cash talks.
Gazelle Champion Mondial Track Bike 58.5 c-t, 57 tt.£700 Price dropped - £680
This is a beautiful looking bike and very light, tight and fast.
It dates from the early seventies and is one of few examples to be made in Columbus Steel (sticker on frame), rather than the usual Reynolds 531.
The frame is fully chromed, and the Campagnolo dropouts and the headtube lugs are bare chrome. The seat collar bolt is also Campag.
The frame is in excellent condition, with very few scratches, mainly in the dropout area.
Please ask any further questions if you have them, but the frame really has got to be seen, the clearances are very tight and the headtube angle steep, making this ideal for the track and great fun on the road.
Spec:
Gazelle Frame
Campagnolo Record Pista Cranks 165mm (48t)
Formula Hubs/Wheels fixed/free
Campagnolo Record headset
San Marco Regal Saddle
Kalloy stem/seatpost (90mm/27.0)
Kalloy bars
Soyo Champ grips
Sram PC-1 chain
Phil Wood 18t Sprocket
Bontrager Race-X-Lite AC tires (23c)
The bike comes as shown and the parts have built up into a very, very light bike with an amazingly smooth drive chain, courtesy of Phil, Campag and Sram.
ALL parts have seen no more than 5 miles of use and are basically new and totally unmarked.
The bb and headset were fitted carefully with copperslip and a headset press.
2x Wrench Force shock pumps.
For any MTBers out there... 2 brand new shock pumps, probably the best on the market. These came with a couple of my bikes, but not needed as I already have one! They come with the little adapter thingies. £30 new, yours for £15 a pop.
