  • i bought a 'create' bike recently

but as im sure youll all be quick to tell me
they are, just a little bit, rubbish
so ive ended replacing nearly all parts on it
but now it has a big 'creat' sign on the top tube, so ima respray the bike but im not sure which colour
(ill try up load some pictures when my computer stops spazzing out)
    the frame is curently white
    its got black drops
red hubs, soon to be red chain, red bontrager race lites
    and black rims
    any ideas dor frame colours

Fair enough. I suggest baby blue.

  • Have you considered the Thames?

  • I'll jump in quick with a helpful reply before the puns kick off.
Whatever colour you spray it, it will always look like a create and be made as badly.
Therefore save your money, ride it as is, and save up for a really nice frame.

    There.

  • Dont bother with the red chain. It will turn back anyway.

The main problem with the creates is the quality, and that (like the unipack) they may be unsafe. But really all that matters is that you enjoy riding it. If you do, it dosent matter what bike it is.

  • well yer
my whole point was, i didnt have money
and i cant be without bike, as its my only means of transport
so i thought id buy a shit one then just replace everything on it
and ill i have left to replace (or change) is the frame

    Bike or rider?

In all seriousness, gorgeous baby blue. Oh and get the word "cunt" on it somewhere. I have on my piece of shit bike and everyone loves it. (Well, a couple of North drinkers do)

    There.

    This, times 5.

New frame then a transfer of parts = one more happy rider.

  • Just bung a sticker or two over the logo if it really bothers you.

  • Buy a lovely '08 Schwinn Madison with Condor Pista fork - its currently in the classifieds. Girls fall over themselves for that bike.

  • and then there are just piles of girls everywhere to dodge around.

    wingdings dude...

  • Girls fall over themselves running from that bike.

    So true.

It impregnates them as you ride past.

  • Crumb, I wouldn't bother respraying it. Maybe just cover the decals with stickers. Then if you fancy it buy yourself a nice frame and use the parts you have replaced on your create on the new frame if they are good enough. You can then build up your create frame cheaply and use it as your 'don't mind chaining up and leaving somewhere for a while' bike.

Comic Sans without a shadow of doubt.

  • if you can afford getting new chain etc you're not far from getting an old road frame. since you have all the other bits already I'd start looking for frame instead then swap the parts over.

Even if you rattle can the frame it'll cost you some moneys, and even £30 should get you a beater frame

I've no idea really, see what works. I cut a capital C from some word or other and then removed the letter H from the word hunts out of a magazine. Therefore I have 2 separate fonts on the same word.

  • Cover it in electrical tape, preferably in a barber pole style.
