... the odd Moulton ...
Your words, alien, not mine.
I'm so sorry, can I buy you a drink?
Good work on everything last week, thanks a lot.

i have owned quite a few different models but have never owned the one that i really wanted.
this modified mk3 photographed in japan is a favourite of mine. the red moulton mini is one of the moultons i have owned over the years. that's the unrestored condition i bought it in.

Putting my evangelist hat on, you can borrow one of ours if you'd like... Campagnolo gears or internal hub? Your choice, happy to let you try it. You'll want your own pedals and saddle choice I'm sure, but the bikes are in great condition and available for people to try.

Hmmm, tasty offer there mr K.
Let me talk to you about it when I'm back from Germany. -

Hmm... no playing polo on them though ;)

What?

If I lend you one... no polo. The mallets might be stuck in the space frame.

a moulton social group sounds almost as self contradictory as a dyanmo social group
they tend to be owned by true bike nerds, the kind of people who actually do the research and realise there is actually a stock frame that can fit anyone and rides really well - so well that the UCI made them illegal
damn i want a fucking moulton for touring - its a one day someday item
should put thread to ignore
-

Touring seems to be the only reason I want one... oh, and the wtf is that look you get from non bike people... would be just like riding my old 3 wheel recumbent...
God, I miss that bike...

That look is awesome. Fizz and I were questioned numerous times down in Aix-en-Provence last year, and it's quite something to blast down the Nesque Gorges with the roadies admiring the Moultons when they're all riding bike porn worth almost 8x the value.

I've only been on a Moulton a couple of times and loved it. A really nice ride feel. The last time was on one of the exhibition models at the last Cycle Show and I must have done twenty laps on it (not that the laps were long, but it was just so much nicer than all of the other bikes there, and I only stopped because I started to feel selfish). I'd love to buy one, but I want to have so many more bikes, anyway, and it'll have to wait, unfortunately. :(

What kind of heathen do you take me for? That's be the equivalent of playing polo on my 595.

"A NEW ONE TODAY IS £9000 AND A 12 MONTH WAIT"
are they really that much?
-
• #24
As put on another site, mentioning the price would be vulgar.
-
• #25
indeed it would, and not befitting of a moultoneer.
I know there are a few here with the odd Moulton, hope this is the right place.. :)
There's now a social group for them:
