Any local bike store should be able to fix or advise.

Cheers, I wasn't sure if it was something that was easily repairable by any bike shop.

sound like it's merely out of true, but get the bike shop to check the wheel properly if there any sight of damage.

I got mine trued at Brixton cycles - took them 10 min and cost me maybe £12 (my memory is rubbish). Bargain.

or if you are feeling handy, buy a spoke key for a few quid and look here:

just turn the bike upside down and use it as a truing stand ;)

Thanks for the quick replies, I'd only just left my desk for a cupasoup.

I do wheel repairs from £7 depending on how bad it is where and when we meet e.t.c

Did the driver stop?

@TheBrick(Tommy) I'll PM you, thanks.
@Diable, no she didn't, she didn't even look at me, I was cycling right accross her line of vision and she just nailed it out of the junction and luckily belted my wheel rather than my legs. Unfortunately I didn't get her plate.

That how they are, because they're inside a vehicle, it's an entirely different environment to them, 'cut off' from the surrounding, and base on that, they feel that it's fine to ignored what happening around them.
when you're on a bike, you are exposed to the environment, and thereforth more socialable.
I can tell a cyclist used to drive a car when they were completely surprised and shocked when I spoken to them on the road, drivers are NOT used to interacting with each other in traffic.

Earlier today some scrote in a golf hit my rear wheel side on at a roundabout therefore it is buckled but still rideable. It's a Mavic SUP XP30 (if that helps), where's the best place to go and get it sorted? Any idea of the cost? I live in Stoke Newington if this helps.
No idea about cost, but you could go to Bike Mech at The Castle Climbing Centre--gets good feedback from people who've had repairs done there. PUSH Cycles in Newington Green is a new bike shop run by very nice people. Two Wheels Good in Church Street is a longer-established bike shop. If you can wait for a bit, you can also go to the Hackney Bike Workshop.
Here's a list of Hackney bike shops:

+1 And use the brake pads (unless brakeless) to gauge true.
It's very satisfying knowing you can do something that many people are scared to even try. -

I trued my first wheel today, I'm sure it's not perfect, but wasn't as difficult as I expected. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. Make sure you don't round off the nipples though (that's what she said!)
Sorry to hear about the accident, got knocked off myself recently and the driver didn't stop. Thankfully no damage.

The advantage (compared to brake pads) is that you can put one on either side of the rim. And you can use them for radial truing.
