why not run it with a brake. many many discussions on here about how rims with braking surface are only a recent thing!

i thought about using the front with a brake, but wouldn't it ruin the wheel?
half the people on the forum say its fine, the other half vice versa. So im not too sure what to do :( -

Your braking performance wont be anywhere near as good, as there is considerably less friction on a powdercoated surface. Plus the rim is not flat on with the brake pads. All in all its not the best idea in the world. Its not just any non machined rim, its a very very non machined rim.

Just thought of something: maybe you could trim the brake shoe so that it runs parallel with the rim?

Whether using brakes on the surfaces of your rims is a good idea or not, I don't know.

If you don't find a taker for the swap just take these back to blb and get them to relace the front with the SL42 machined version. Sell the Formation face rim separately on ebay, I'm sure you'll get decent money for it on there.

in layman's term, the machined H+Son have the machined added to the rims, rather than trimmed off, like the Velocity Deep V.

I live in paddington. My number is 07779095723. Just give me a ring when you're coming to collect them.£ 180
TRADE/ SELL
What you're looking at are a pair of Hplus sons deep section rims in white 700c, non-braking surface
Black spokes and nipples, Brick Lane Bikes gold hubs, sealed bearings, radial-laced front wheel
Brand new, unused
I haven't had much luck in managing to sell the front wheel alone or trade it so I've added in the rear wheel as well.
If anyone has a RED or BLACK (or White Machined Front) H+ son Wheel(set) that they'd like to trade for these beauties :P (FRONT MACHINED + REAR NON-MACHINED) then that'd be perfect. Otherwise I'm selling them for** £200 (or 95 for front, 105 for rear**). I'll throw in the sprocket for free ;)
