Adding thread to 1" steerer..?

Anyone know a decent place in London (south if poss) where I can get 2-3cm's of thread added to my forks..?

If they're not chromed then retro_di_corsa may be able to help you.

If they're chromed then you'll struggle to find anyone to do it for you (chrome messes up the expensive tapping tool).

You could always get a 1" aheadset?

Thanks gentle folks..
After calling a couple of places who told me no and what..?
AW Cycles in wimbledon can do it and do it quite often apparently..

I'll let you know how it goes..

Ol Fella at AW did it..dropped off at 9am collected at 2..
Proper old schools shop, nice smell... Probably got some nice bits floating around in the gloom..
