you could have joined The Blokes though ste if they were still going...you could restart it!!! you could be like The Brakes in Vancouver. Midnight Simon + some other East Van Polo Players are in it and they are WELL cool/funny/crazy/AWESOME....
it's a really cool way for an all boy group to help to dismiss male sterotypes whilst at the same time having fun. In the same way as The Spokes it is important, I think, for males to show that they can have a laugh and not take everything so seriously, it is so rare than males, specifically, perform in sport in an amusing or fun way that encourages everyone to take part rather than being competitive and macho. Men laughing at themselves whilst doing "sporty" things is completely uncommon and a great way to brake down barriers..i think The Brakes are totally awesome
The Spokes are woman-only for a number of reasons that are to promote the empowerment of the performaers and also the audience. In the same way a male only troupe could be extrememly empowering too.

"We're an all-boy mini-bike dance crew.
We love to ride our bikes and dance our asses off.
We like the idea that being masculine does not mean being macho." -

think you'll be ready to perform on 26th feb?
you could do a dance off with the spokes maybe? like a battle...that would be amazing.... I know that making fun of yourself and performing in front of 200 people can be quite daunting but you sound like you're up for the challenge!
more info:
Hello I Bike MCR Massive....
On Friday 26th Febraury we are planning an extravaganza after February Critical Mass to take place at the Zion Centre in Hulme.
If you would like to be part of it then let me know......we need
people to do bike valet parking
people to do the door
people to help serve food
people to decorate in an amazing bike style (prolly involve meeting up for a day/ eve beforehand to create amazing things)
bike dancing??
people to be involved in a bike music style thing (if you're musical get in touch!)
a bike powered p.a. or two
any other bike related wonders you can think of.....
we shall be talking more about it at the meeting a week on tuesday but it would be good to get an idea of the number of helpers and ideas of stuff you'd like to do
