I'll put in an potential 'dibz' on this as my flat mate is after a new bike. I'll post a link of this to him and see what he says.
He was after something quite scraggy everything this is not. It's hot. -

It really is a beautiful frame.
I just don't need three fixed bikes and the restoration job I was going to do on this is too far off in the future to warrant keeping it.
It's needs to be owned by someone who will love it and more importantly has the time to ride it.

Sorry I didn't read your notes in advance- you gotta be quick off teh mark around here. If he says he likes it first....

looks like a gazelle frame, is the seatstay wrapped?
-
• #8
It's not a gazelle I'm afraid.
The only markings on the frame are the letters "B" and "M" which are stamped into the bottom steerer lug -

I heard this guy was building frames for a while before Angie from Eastenders put a stop to all that

Hey not 100% sure I get it...
...is it just the frame and 1 set of un-original chrome forks, or the whole bike for £300?
-
• #11
If you put that saddle in your palm it curls up and tells you what mood you're in
-
• #12
Hugo, as the post says it's 300 for the frameset (frame & chrome undrilled forks) with a silver Chris King headset.
-
• #13
And worth every penny - this frame is a beauty.

can't believe no-one has snapped this up yet, it's a beauty!
-

Really is an astonishingly elegant frame. Bad time to sell though. January, the cruellest month...
-
• #17
Valid, I still thought someone would snap it up though.

• #18
someone buy this

I'm interested Object. If you haven't stripped it down yet and it's convenient for you can we meet in the Northgate so I can have a closer look?
We've chatted there before once, not sure if you remember. -
• #20
Dani could snap it up and resell it for £500 as a "faffo bespoke".

I'm not up to date on this whole issue but I will not be selling the frame to someone who will build it with pointlessly shit parts in an attempt to turn a quick buck.
It's a beautiful bike which deserves to be loved and ridden, not turned into a show piece for a mockery of a company.

Just realised I still haven't put pictures of the cranks up.
These are some similar ones but I'll post a picture of the actual one I'm selling tomorrow morning;

The chainset has been provisionally sold.
~~First up is the frameset made famous by Murtle's famous Murtle.
http://velospace.org/node/6691, It's in exactly the same condition as when I bought it.
The frame is made of 531 and is 54*54 square. It's dated from the 1970s but we do not know who the frame builder was.
The fork was changed prior to my ownership and is now a nice chrome undrilled number.
Also included is a silver Chris King Gripnut.
Price is 300.00GBP~~Sold
~~Next up:
Vintage Campagnolo Pista track cranks. 165 Length. As with many of the campy cranks from this era the left hand crank went missing somewhere down the years. It has been replaced by a strada crank (Looks identical but has "strada" stamped on the inside). No cracks, dents & the tapers are still perfect.
Also included are the original Campagnolo dustcaps and steel chainring bolts.
These currently have a 144BCD Campagnolo 54t chainring.
I will also include a 111mm English Thread Veloce BB. Less than 300miles. Perfect Condition.
Price 200.00GBP~~ Now listed on ebay
No Dibs & No Bullshit. It gets sold to whoever has the cash.
In the case of multiple offers I'll be taking bribes.
