Jacks Cafe in Queens Park used to be quite good, haven't been there since they extended the place though. http://www.jacks-cafe.com/ 24 close to Gloucester Rd is decent as well http://www.vingtquatre.co.uk/vqlocation.htm

Go to the Eagle on Rathbone place - short journey from CG.
Everything you want and nice leather booths. Shit for vegans, but that's by the by - I used to love it.

Depends where you are. Balans is quite good (Knightsbridge, Soho), as is Tootsies if you happen upon Chiswick.

VQ is total cack now. It was much better before Joel Cadbury sold it. High count of pissed-up toffs though.

Tinseltown in Farringdon was always a good bet once the night was over at the Gallery http://www.tinseltown.co.uk/index.php

Is that the 24 hour place that opened not so long ago?
Hmm, not sure about that - I went on a Saturday last year, whilst the sun was up.

Bob Bob Ricard off golden square is brilliant for american brunch

There is a great but, obviously, pricey place in Mayfair that does incredible Mac'n'Cheese. Hang on whilst I Google it:
Automat, that's the sucker.

Thanks, it was Bob Bob Ricard I was thinking of, went there once early last year. Not cheap, but very good nonetheless.

Blue Legume in Stoke Newington (don't let the name worry you, it does meat too).
Best brunch in London.

Really? I always walk by that place (it's by my work) and it looks pretty uninspiring. Will take a closer look...

Balans menu looks great!

Meh, used to live right by it. It was ok at best. Better was the breakfast plate at the Londesborough (pub 2 mins from there)

Like I said - Balans kicks arse. Relatively reasonably priced too.
Had a full monty english breakfast in the Ritz once (possibly the best £35 I'vespent on fried food) which was mamouth in every way. Passed out there after a heavy night and got woken at about 3am after the concierge dude woke me up and said I wasn't allowed to be there if I didn't have a room.
So I ordered breakfast.

you guys should read "kitchen confidential" ... no brunch for me, or hollondaise for that matter!

Their menu is making me drool! Definitely the best brunch menu I've seen in London.
Yes, I need a repeat visit, for sure.
I have just got back from a week in New York - brunch tastic.
I fucking love brunch - it's one of the things Americans have got right. Best way to start the weekend and/or set yourself straight after a night of boozing.
Finding decent brunch places in London is not so easy, though. For me, a good brunch place should be able to serve just about anything: steak & eggs, vast omlettes, home fries, corn bread and apple sauce, pancakes & maple syrup, coffee, booze, club sandwich, cheeseburger...
Who else shares my love for the best meal of the day? Where do you satisfy your urge? I am a big fan of the Breakfast Club in Angel, but since moving, it's not so convenient for me. Is there anywhere people recommend in Covent Garden? I went to Brown's with some friends, but it was shit.
Suggestions pls!
