Frozen Pipes = No Internet

Due to the severe cold here in London the pipes that carry the internet to my house have frozen up ? Thus rendering my ZX81 useless. I am worried about the pipes bursting and flooding my house with digital information ? Should I use a blowtorch to melt the blockage in the pipes or should I just bite the bullet and get broadband so the magic would just flow through the air ? Or does that also freeze in severe weather

Remember. The internet is a series of tubes. If the tube connecting the your house/flat to the internet is frozen, you can't get any internet.

I lost my internet for a bit today, then it came back. Must have been the snow.

I lost my internet at about 2am this morning, nothing would load at all. So I went to bed. It's fine now.
