Let the games begin.
Ebay - see what you get.

Paraphrasing previous threads started by your good self, you asked for a fair price for a frame you were buying from a mate. Then it appeared for sale soon after. Your marketing skills need some work.

Bloody hell he's back. This frame hasn't "presented itself" from a friend has it? One who is moving abroad and who you think should give you a big discount because if he doesn't you're going to cry? It's not one of "five magnificent frames" you're selling either is it? One of which you got from a friend at a knock down price and then tried to sell on at a profit?

I was considering the title: "Hesitantly requesting a price reference" because of the warm reception one gets here. This frame is in a bike shop. I've asked for its price and the answer was: "Make me a reasonable offer". I've always hated to insult someone, so I've taken to some research.
We all know there are frames and there are great frames. Clearly prices will differ. I know nothing about pricing related to Rossin. This is personally the first Rossin offering facing me. -

I've been searching the web to get a benchmark value for a Rossin frame set that has presented itself. I've been asked to make an offer. Obviously I'd like to make a reasonable offer and conclude an amicable transaction. The frame has a few nicks and marks in the paint work but no dents. Do you have any references for anything similar or an estimate?
£50 - if you get rid of the gaudiness...

Should be columbus tubing, I think. Does it have the R shape under the bb shell?
-

Probably Columbus I know but which one they do allsorts from near gaspipe to top notch stuff which has a big bearing on price

Interesting.
I like Rossins, and their value is increasing as their fan based widens but also gets more hardcore.
I'd think £200-£250. In a shop would be fair.Edit: Its early 80s probably. Its also got really ugly white lugs. :)

At a guess is it will make less than £200, bad time of year and not 100% sure wot tube it is. Still there is no shortage of big money for conti 'name frames'.

I would agree, but its in a shop, so the guy wont let it go for a steal. But you might be right that an offer of summit like £170 could get it. Maybe even £150. Depends what you think the shop owner wants for it. Maybe try £150 and then make the second offer based on how insulted he is or isn't.

Cannot answer Q about type of tubing.
Has the "cut out 'R'" under the BB shell
and the serial number on the LH rear Drop out
not too heavy in hand. -

Thanks Harry.Major I appreciate the feedback
The figures echo my thinking -

Mint one went for £300, looks similar type of frame. That means I would pay £150 for yours, tops.

Another confirmation of the figure! Thanks.
Yup the ones I've managed to find pictures of (and including this picture) do have many similarities and also many small differences. No mention yet of any kind of "edition" either.
