.... cycled on the road for the first time since my accident last year. only about a 3 mile round trip, but it's a start. nearly had a heart attack when a cement lorry came past me very close (probably wasn't actually very close, but it felt it!) but managed to not wobble!

goes to court on the 14/15/16 april..... it's been upgraded from magistrates court to a district judge which they tell me is good. apparently the cps have a very low conviction record in the magistrates court, so pushed for it to be taken to crown court.

was riding across blackfriars bridge and collided with a left turning lorry, was then dragged under the front wheel for a bit, and stuck there until the fire brigade lifted it off me.

i got soaked, but had made up my mind to do it and decided not to let the rain be an excuse.....

Even for those of us who haven't had accidents, cement lorrys often seem too close. In the spirit of getting back on the horse I would advise getting up close to HGVs, when stationary of course, to get used to them, how they sound, etc.

that's a really good idea. will definitely do that, because I think my current fear of them will make me less safe if that makes sense.

Know the feeling (sorta) my right ankle is now twice the size of the normal one and my right leg points out about 15 degs.
