Bad news mate, hope you are OK & not too badly hurt. Sorry I can't offer claims experience.

Hope you heal fast James.
A "proper" solicitor might be better than an Ambo Chaser if you can afford one- maybe pay in Rapha?
Anyway, I would imagine that they would end up costing you less, or being more transparent.
Thinking about it- LCC would be a good place to start as they offer legal services to members.

It was on Chiswick High St
Lights were red so I filtered down the right and pulled into the ASL (well as much as I could fit in due to a car already encroaching it). There were two lanes (left or straight on) and I was in the straight on lane. The lights were filtered for left or straight, the left turn light went green and the car behind me just drove straight into the back of me.
Driver starts shouting and I say the police need to be called. She gets back in her car and tries to drive off with me standing in her way. She nudged me repeatedly with the car (whilst I am on the phone to the old bill). Eventually she agrees to wait for the old bill.
My favourite comment from her was it would not have happened if I had been wearing a helmet (she was hysterical and also said her son had been killed in a cycling accident this year so it was all a little dark).

Oh dear, hope you heal up soon James.
I've (thankfully) not had cause to find out, but I believe that you can join CTC and make use of their solicitors even after the event.

Bad luck James. I hope you at least get helped out with some medical expense so you can get yourself checked out properly. And that you get your bike in ship shape again.
As for the comment... how would wearing a helmet have prevented her from driving into you?

Helmet with a flashing light on it so she would have seen him?

I got hit by a car this morning. Rear wheel destroyed and rib has popped out.
Want to get my fair dues.
So has anyone had experience of claims direct or similar service and is there a good one to call.
