  • lots of folk no doubt-but its not a defo that you are garunteed entry.see 29 er thread for entry details.

  • Planning on heading there, if only I knew the venue. At Dalby last year the guy from wales won the vote to host SSUK2010, and said it would be Brechfa is this now confirmed??? Does anyone know if this event is happening or is it just the European champs in UK this year?.

  • It says Forest of Dean but this doesn't mean anything to me. You?

    **SSUK 2010 Update **

We've had to move the race site about 15 miles up the road to Cwm Rhaedr just outside the village of Cilicwm, near Llandovery, due to windfarm plans at Brechfa Forest, which threatened to make planning really awkward! Cwm Rhaeder is a really nice, self contained trail, with a beautiful climb followed by a 4km descent. Race day is pencilled in for Saturday 14th August!

    Details on entry very shortly!

  • I found a website for SSUK 2010. It is in Wales but venue has moved. The forest of Dean is the European championships... aint the web brilliant. Hope that sheds some light on things.

  • all info on 29er thread, or lets offroad cant remember.
am in so if people want to get a group camp sorted, that would be cool.
theres plenty entertainment but having spares, work stand, cuddly toys, and mates around when you get back from racing is always good news.

  • hippy F.O.D is Gloucestershire, in, like the English bush.

  • Thanks m.f. will check out the 29er thread. Not sure if I will be fast enough for europeans but the craic is always good.

  • Well done Hippy I tried to get that info by cutting and pasting to this site but it has not appeared, bloody computers..... if they had 2 wheels and 1 gear i could work them better.

  • I spent 5 years at uni learning how to cut and paste so it's a good thing it worked.. ;)

  • Where are some of you guys based? I am lucky enough to have Dalby and the Yorkshire moors and dales just around the corner...although I do enjoy the lakes for riding only an hour away too.

  • "This is London my friend.."

  • Great riding in and around london too, especially bmx and street although the fixie brigade have probably the best playground in the u.k. Do you do much offroad?

  • I haven't ridden dirt since I left Oz 5 years ago. The only mtb I have here is an old GT singlespeed that lives under the bed. Actually I did a couple of mtb rides when I was back in Oz before xmas but nothing too special. Mildura is flat.

  • I tend to ride dirt bikes offroad....but seriously, I escape poole dorset pretty regulary to london and beyond, done lots in wales, but Dalby and Glentress bothontick list. tend to like finding places out though, we got some reasonable single track in dorset, wareham, puddletown forests.

  • I should have got on here sooner, I just finished a 3 month contract at Bovington tank museum. Doing the new museum displays. If I had known there were decent trails around I would have stuck a bike in my van and met up for a ride, I was staying in wareham. If I get that far south again I will give you a shout well in advance to see if you are up for a ride out.
