• It looks as if some people are up for this, so I've gone and picked a date. It's a Friday evening--hope it works for enough forumengers to get a decent group together, but no matter if it's just a few of us. Non-vegans most welcome! I suspect we'll need to book, so put your name down early, but also please be committed to honour your booking (lists on the forum normally generate a lot of non-turner uppers).

I've never been to 222 but I've been meaning to go for a while, as it attracts high plaudits. Web-site:

    http://www.222veggievegan.com/

    Address:

    222 North End Road
    West Kensington
    London W14 9NU.

I thought of getting there for 7, does that sound good/feasible/compatible with work schedules?

The restaurant is rather close to the Greyhound, or other post-meal pubs if locals cared to choose one.

    List:

    1. Oliver Schick
  • Thanks for the bump, Graham.

  • Its a good (and relatively inexpensive) restaurant, would be there if I was in London that day!

  • I just spent the last 2 hours reading a backlog of vegan threads and am really inspired! However, I've got my work x-mas party that night so I will be enjoying whatever veggie options they have at the "New Cannaught Room Covent Garden" that night.

  • Cheers, serk, would be good to see you again sometime!

Could everybody perhaps let me know whether the date is duff or they just don't fancy the idea?

  • I'm into this but the date is bad for me - too many Xmas parties around this time. Would be up for it at pretty much any date in the new year though.

  • oh look, a steak.

  • Wot no dead animal?

  • Nope, just twigs and dirt.

  • List:

    1. Oliver Schick
    2. Eyebrows and the gf.... if she agrees- shes a bit busy with work atm.
  • This is about as popular as Gary Glitter at an eight birthday party

  • Ha, do you think he has a 'pulse'?

  • Barley...

  • Oh burger off!

  • Theres a grain of truth in that you know.
    Sorry!

  • "Hello, this is 222 Restaurant, how can I help?"

Oliver: "I vould like a table for von please"

  • "Fuck Doris, we've got a booking... go and turn the lights on, will ya?"

  • You are all mean.

Oliver, I'll come; I can't put my name down yet as I haven't checked with the other half that he ahsn't made any plans for me, but it should ok.

  • Thanks for the constant bumping, guys. :)

Will be good to meet you, plurabelle!

I love how it gives a key for dishes that are vegan (when everything is vegan) and then puts the little (v)s at the top of each section. :)

  • If it was just an excuse for a nice meal I'd come but as you've tainted it with links to a religious holiday I am out. Enjoy though, the food there is tasty.
