• Do these exist? Can't seem to find anything that fits the bill. I just picked up a cheap and cheerful but absolutely immaculate-period correct early 60s french road bike. Thing is, i'm a clipless (spd) rider and don't get on with clips and straps. I don't want to spoil the all original look of the bike with modern looking clipless pedals hence my question. Anyone come across such a thing?

Cheers in advance for any thoughts.

    Al.

  • Just put your spuds on the immacualte bike.

Then when you sell the bike for loadsa money the pedals will be good nick still, which is often a problem with older bikes.

  • That's not like you skully. I thought you were all about the detail?

  • Was it the 10sp Motobecan (!) that finished last night on the Bay was it? I wanted that but forgot to bid!

  • No, the Jaques Anquetil on classifieds now. picked it up off monsieur le corbeau yesterday. Been looking at Shimano PD-7700s this morning. Really nice classic roadie looking SPD-R pedals.

  • clearly you aren't going to be shredding the gnar on this bike. just throw some clips on it.

also, egg beaters looks kinda retro, in a way.
