  • NJS Dura Ace 7600 Track Cranks ex-GB team gear £135

Slightly used on Manchester Velodrome with only a few scuffs from transit and relocation. The taper is clean and good. They've never been used on the road. They're ex gb team cranks used by Shanaze Reade. 165mm Can pick up in Hackney Wick or I can deliver locally north of the river. Sorry about the pics they're the best I could get out. JB

  • Don't suppose you have any DA chain rings do ya?

  • Na sorry.. Only chain ring I have for sale is a british cycling chain ring... also ex SR only £10 tho.

  • Cheers anyway, Missah Brown. :)

  • If they only make £99 on ebay, why do you think people will pay more on here?

    Reserve not met.
So, they didn't go for GBP 99.- (at least not in this auction).
Mr. Brown has the right to ask whatever he wants.
Those who think that the price is really too high, can bid a bit lower.
    I think it's a lot of $$$, too, but it's worth a try.
    Just a reasonable asking price.
As usual, the final selling price for these fine cranks may be a bit lower.

  • Gizmond you're a tool. That's all. Like Dutch Cheese said there was a reserve this is a reasonable price as usual on this forum open to offers. Unfortunatly there are people like Gizmond who feel the need stoop to the lowest form of forum etiquette.

  • gizmond only pointed out it was on ebay where the reserve was not met and then went on to ask why you think people should pay more here ?

simple research followed by a simple question.

I think we all know it was a dig rather than a nice friendly bit of intrigue.

£135 isn't an unreasonable price to ask given they look in very nice nick and have been ridden only indoors. Ebay isn't always a perfect gauge for prices.

  • i'm a bit tired of people selling shit on this forum for +80% RRP. i can get these from track supermarket for the same price, but brand new.

  • and that's including shipping.

  • £135 including shipping, import tax and the inevitable £10-15 customs handling charge from Royal mail/FedEx or whoever? If so then that's a bargain! I thought my King headset from Aspire was a bargain until I got a demand from fedex for another £15 tax and handling, at least the tax was fairly low because they marked the value down.

  • Yeah, well he sells on eBay and he'll incur £10-15 in fees from paypal/ebay. I guess i'm lucky, i've imported lots of bike stuff and never got stung by customs/excise. Still, they'd be brand new, not scuffed. The fact that he tried his luck on ebay and failed should tell you something. £100 would be a good price for these cranks, after all we are a community, not a fee/hassle/paypal-free version of ebay.

I think he would rather you got upset than some forumer get a raw deal ..

  • There is no way you could get these from track supermarket delivered to your door for £135. The price is way more than reasonable. It's a joke that you can think it acceptable to post like this in someones for sale thread. If I was to be selling something face to face with someone in the street and say someone had offered me a certain price for them before but it was too low. If you then butted in and told the prospective buyer that someone had offered me less before and I was asking for a price higher than that. Would that be ok? Would you do that?

£135 is very very reasonable to ask for, and that is not even a question. You're a cheeky ****.

I shouldn't have to explain myself here at all but hey, it's fine.

  • Hahahaha. OK big man.

    Good luck with the sale.

  • They cost £119.82 at tracksupermarket... and including postage thats £136.02

So your right you can't get them for £135 to your door.... but for an extra £1.02 you can + perhaps customs.

However Mr Brown is entitled to ask whatever he likes and no one is obliged to buy if they don't agree with the price.

  • Even if you get stung by customs, they're BRAND NEW. So you either pay £135 for 2nd hand DA cranks, or £145 for brand new DA cranks. Hmmmmmmmmm. He has the right to ask what he likes, but if he sells them to some new forumer who doesn't know any better, then the next pair of DA cranks that come up will have a similar price. The market told him what they were worth on eBay, maybe if he had no reserve it woulda gone a little higher. It just fucks me off that he couldn't get the money he wanted over there so he then tries to flog it to us. That ain't right.

  • ^ i agreed

And the delivery from tracksupermarket is very fast, normally 3-5 days and fully insured and tracked. I don't think you need worry about newbies buying these after the fuss we have kicked up :)

  • The price is way more than reasonable. It's a joke

Spot on, i agree with you there, its more then reasonable... its a joke as you say.

  • As Hippy is on holiday, I will step in and post the obligatory dessert photo.

    Anyone for Pecan Pie?

  • no one has picked up on the fact they were used by Shazne Read, though.

personally i'd have said Vicky Pendleton and asked 180.
