SE1 calling it as a scooter/lorry crash

According to the Police I met at the St.Paul's safety event, this crash at the Elephant was a cyclist but not a fatality.
I hope it is not worse...

I came round the roundabout, just before one and there were three ambulances and a motorbike paramedic on the scene. Cyclist looked okay, sitting up, paramedics were looking at his leg/foot, so could have broken something, no blood that I could see, but as miles said his bike was pretty mangled, both wheels tacoed and frame pretty second hand.
looked like a lucky escape to me.

Was in uni that day too, didn't see it happen, but my friend did. The lorry hit the cyclist and pulled him under the rear two wheels - he was very lucky - only his leg went under the wheels. Bike was completely destroyed. That guy is very lucky to be alive.
Some time ago on the same roundabout women was crushed to death by cement mixer.
That roundabout is fucking dangerous - I cycle through it almost every day and had lots of close calls.
I came out of college at about 12:45 to see a load of ambulances and police on the roundabout. Looked like the collision was between a man and a flat bed lorry. The guy's bike was completely mangled on the road and there were quite a few paramedics around him. I couldn't tell what condition he was in but judging from the bike it didn't look good. Hope this turns out ok.
